We hypothesise that closed loop insulin therapy will give increased time in range compared to sensor augmented pump therapy. This study builds upon previous and on-going studies of closed loop systems that have been performed in Cambridge in children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes.
Design | Open-label, multicentre, multi-national, randomised, 2-period crossover study (n=72 children from 7 sites) |
Target population | Children aged 1-7yrs with diagnosis of type 1 diabetes for at least 6 months, on insulin pump therapy for 3 or more months, willing to use continuous glucose monitoring and closed loop |
