Sometimes little children have diabetes and need to wear an insulin pump.

Doctors and nurses are trying to help with your diabetes and look for new ways of dealing with it.

We have a new kit to help little children and their families keep their blood sugars in better control. It is called Closed Loop.

The little tester (we call it a glucose sensor) keeps a check on your blood sugars and talks to the phone. The phone works out how much insulin you need and tells the pump to give it to you.

Diabetes UK has a special website just for children with type 1 diabetes, click on the link if you would like to have a look at the website.

Clinical research involving children is the best way to understand childhood conditions and improving healthcare for children. The Nuffield Council on Bioethics created this video to talk about some of the worries you might have about becoming involved in research.
